Who We Are

Save Sowams School started in August 2022 after the Barrington School Building Committee approved a master building plan calling for the demolishing of Sowams School, a beloved neighborhood fixture. Our goal is not only to preserve this building as a school but to change the direction of the School Committee through community action toward preserving smaller, more intimate educational experiences for our students and families.

We are numerous, but we are all residents of Barrington, RI. We are not soliciting donations. We do not endorse any candidate(s). We are not a formal political action group. We are your friends and neighbors.
